Privacy Notice
1. Controller
Future Energy Venture Ltd. is the data controller for personal data you provide when using the Power Configurator. Contact: contact@futureenergyventure.com.
2. What we collect
(a) Account data — email address, name, hashed password (email sign-in) or Google profile picture (Google sign-in). (b) Project data — sector, country, load, site conditions and any project name you enter. (c) Billing data — purchase amount, currency, package purchased and provider transaction ID. Card and bank details never touch our servers; they are handled directly by PayPal and Paddle. (d) Operational data — timestamps, IP addresses (at ingress only), and system logs necessary to run the Service. (e) Lead data — if you fill in "Contact our team" or "Talk to an account manager", we collect your name, company, email, country and a project summary so we can respond.
3. Why we process it
To provide the Service you request (contract), to send account and transactional emails including welcome, password reset and credit-expiry reminders (legitimate interest), to comply with tax and accounting law (legal obligation), and — only if you explicitly opt in — for occasional product updates (consent).
4. Third parties who process data for us
Emergent (Google OAuth session provider), Hostinger (transactional email delivery via SMTP), PayPal (payment processing), Paddle (payment processing and merchant-of-record where applicable), Anthropic Claude (report narrative generation — project inputs are sent, no personal identifiers), and our hosting provider. All third parties are bound by contract to process personal data only for the purpose we specify.
5. Where we store data
Data is stored on MongoDB Atlas in a region we select for reliability. Some processors may transfer data outside the country in which you reside; we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards where required.
6. How long we keep it
Account and project data are kept for as long as your account is active. Billing records are retained for 7 years to comply with accounting law. Lead data submitted through the contact form is retained for up to 2 years. You can request earlier deletion at any time; see Your rights below.
7. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@futureenergyventure.com — we respond within thirty (30) days.
8. Cookies
We use a single first-party cookie (session_token) to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Analytics use privacy-friendly Plausible without cookies or personal identifiers.
9. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt; brute-force attempts are rate-limited. Traffic is served over HTTPS end-to-end. Payment credentials never touch our servers.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
11. Changes
We update this notice as our processing evolves. Material changes are announced by email at least seven (7) days in advance.
